Ghost in the Shell Watch Online Kissanime: A Journey into Cyberpunk World

In the year 2029, humanity has reached a new level of technological advancement. The world is interconnected by a broad electronic network that infiltrates every aspect of life. In this futuristic setting, Major Motoko Kusanagi, an assault-team leader for the New Port City, is on a mission to capture the Puppet Master, a dangerous hacker who uses shells to wreak havoc.

Shells are artificial bodies that possess human consciousness and can grant superhuman abilities. Most humans have access to this network through their cybernetic bodies, which they also call shells. The team members, Batou and Ishikawa, use triangulation to try and find the Puppet Master, but it's a challenging task.

In the original edition of Ghost in the Shell, Iemasa Kayumi played the role of the enigmatic Puppet Master character. However, in the new edition, Yoshiko Sakakibara takes on this iconic role. The new edition also features enhanced computer graphics and digital effects for some scenes, as well as a reunion of most of the cast members for a new 6.1 surround sound recording.

Academy-Award-winning sound mixer/editor Randy Thom has overseen the new soundtrack with Kenji Kawai's original music and a final mix that has been produced at Thom and Lucas Digital's Skywalker Sound studio in California. The film will screen in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo starting from July 12.
